Certified Management Accountant (CMA™) is a professional certification offered by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) that verifies a person’s knowledge in management accounting, corporate finance and business management.

CMA Exam Eligibility and Format
Before becoming a CMA, an individual must meet the following requirements:
1.Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any subject.
2.Have two years of work experience in management accounting.
3.Be a member of the IMA in good standing.
4.Pass both Parts of the CMA exam within three years of entering the CMA program.
Each Part of the CMA exam contains 100 multiple-choice questions and two essay questions. Candidates have three hours to complete the multiple-choice questions and one hour to complete the essays.

The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a worldwide certification provided by IMA that any aspirant can earn in 9-12 months. It helps you become skilled in management accounting and the certification is recognised in 150+ countries across the globe.
To become a certified CMA, apart from passing the exams, you must meet these criteria:
CMA USA focuses more on management accounting and financial strategy development than the other certifications.
You must score at least 360 out of 500 to pass the CMA exam. You must also get at least 50% of the MCQs right to access the Essay-based Scenario questions.

A student willing to work hard can complete the CMA USA course within 6 - 12 months.
CMA USA exam contains 100 multiple-choice questions and two scenario-based essay questions. It is a 4-hour exam with 3 hours allocated to multiple-choice questions and 1 hour to essay questions. However, to move on to the essay section, one must correctly answer at least 50% of the multiple-choice questions.
